Saxophonist Michael Lington reimagines Baker Street; Javier Colon on vocals

Updated: Feb 25, 2021

“Baker Street'', a track popularized by the late Gerry Rafferty back in the 1970s, has been refreshed and stylized by saxophonist Michael Lington. Add vocalist Javier Colon to the mix and we have ourselves a winning team on this memorable track.

Lington blazes with the resounding sax intro which is heard within the single, adding a compelling edge to the track. that which duplicates throughout breaks of the song.

Javier’s voice lends well to the track, soulful and sweet as he maneuvers through this rhythmic classic.

“Baker Street” is one of many tracks that appear on Lington’s Alone Together CD. Also on the CD we find Lington paired with other vocalists and musicians including Chris Walker, Kenny Lattimore, Sy Smith and musicians Brian Culbertson and Dave Koz.
